The Workplace Meliva Gyn and Operation Nacka operates both an outpatient clinic and day surgery procedures. The team includes gynecologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and a receptionist. We work as a team while also independently within our area of responsibility/profession. About the Job Our operating department consists of one operating room and ten recovery beds. We perform procedures ranging from small vaginal interventions to prolapse repairs and TVT procedures that do not require the expertise and equipment of an acute hospital. We are a small group that supports and works closely with each other. In the recovery unit, you work together with a nursing assistant. Your main responsibilities include managing pre- and post-operative patient care from arrival for surgery through discharge. This includes standard nursing duties and other common tasks in a recovery unit such as administering premedication, pain management, monitoring, etc. Your duties also include answering our post-op phone line and caring for patients who had temporary urinary catheters that need to be removed. We use the Take Care electronic health record system. Qualifications Licensed Nurse We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in acute care. You are professional in your manner, positive, engaged, and confident in your role as a nurse. We place great importance on good collaboration and respectful treatment of both patients and colleagues. You feel comfortable working independently.
