About the Role We are now recruiting a Senior Embedded Developer with a focus on the defense sector. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement high-quality software solutions in technically advanced and safety-critical defense projects. In the role of Embedded Developer, you will work across the entire development chain and contribute your technical expertise in advanced defense and security projects. As part of the AFRY team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects, both internally in our product development operations and with our customers in the defense sector. You will, among other things: - Develop and implement software solutions for embedded systems, primarily in C/C++ and Python - Work in agile and cross-functional teams, in close collaboration with software and hardware engineers - Participate in the entire development process – from requirements analysis and design to implementation, testing, and verification - Work on defense-related projects, both at customer sites and in-house - Become part of AFRY's large and skilled Embedded team, with good opportunities for professional development Qualifications We are looking for someone with a senior profile in embedded development and a clear interest in safety-critical systems. You have several years of experience with embedded systems and feel confident taking technical responsibility in complex environments. We would like to see that you have: - Deep understanding of Embedded Linux - Experience with or understanding of Yocto - Experience in or understanding of cybersecurity in embedded systems, such as: - Encryption - Key management - Secure boot - Very good skills in C/C++ - Experience with Python is a merit - Merit: experience with Qt/QML For this position, it is a requirement that you master both Swedish and English in speech and writing, as our assignments often involve contact with Swedish customers. Some assignments may also be security-classified, which means you will undergo security vetting under the security protection act.
