We are now looking for pipe fitters for our unique production at one of the world's most modern shipyards. In your role as a pipe fitter, your main responsibilities will be focused on manufacturing and assembly of piping systems in new construction, modification, and maintenance of submarines and surface vessels. We use welding methods such as TIG and orbital welding. The piping systems include materials such as stainless steel, copper-nickel, copper, titanium, and unalloyed steel. This makes the job very varied and provides excellent opportunities to develop your craftsmanship and professional expertise. To succeed as a pipe fitter with us, we see that you are collaborative, solution-oriented, and meticulous. Your Profile Requirements High school education in plumbing/HVAC or equivalent Knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading as well as good material and filler knowledge Basic computer skills Meritorious Experience with hard soldering, TIG welding, and if you hold a welding license. Previously machined materials through activities such as drilling, threading, bending, and cutting. Knowledge of fastening methods and measurement techniques The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable security clearance regulations in effect at any given time.
