About the Operation Image and Functional Medicine in Ludvika is seeking a Section Manager for CT. In southern Dalarna, you'll find Ludvika Hospital, a regional hospital with proximity to nature, lakes, and opportunities for an active outdoor life. However, it's conveniently located within travel distance to cities such as Borlänge/Falun and Västerås. Radiology Ludvika is an operation with both emergency and scheduled examinations, and is part of Image and Functional Medicine Dalarna. Currently, we operate a computed tomography scanner (Philips) and conventional labs (GE and Siemens) in close collaboration with hospital wards, the urgent care clinic at Ludvika Hospital, and primary care centers in Västerbergsslagen. Responsibilities As a section manager with us, you have a key role in ensuring high quality and patient safety. In close consultation with the responsible physician and your direct supervisor, you lead and coordinate daily operations. Your focus is to optimize workflows by matching patient needs with your team's unique competencies—not just locally, but with a comprehensive perspective on the entire region's care capacity. As a section manager, you step into a central role where your primary focus is to create a safe and efficient care chain with the patient's needs at the center. Your responsibility ranges from daily operational management to a strategic regional perspective. This means you not only optimize resources for your own section but also actively work to ensure that the region's resources are utilized in the best way possible. By prioritizing referrals and collaborating with other clinics and hospital wards throughout the region, you contribute to balanced workload distribution and ensure every patient receives care at the appropriate level. In your role, you are responsible for quality and methods development. You ensure that our practices align with regional guidelines and that the methods manual remains a living document that is constantly updated and followed. When deviations occur, you lead improvement efforts with confidence and actively drive the implementation of new technology and knowledge that benefits both the operation and the region as a whole. A significant part of your assignment is building a strong culture and securing future competence. You plan onboarding for new employees and students together with your supervisor, and you are responsible for knowledge transfer when there is a change in section management. By being personally present in your communication regarding news and decisions, you create engagement and confidence. You promote professional interactions and a good work environment where colleagues thrive and patients feel well cared for. Finally, you have overall responsibility for the section's physical conditions. This includes everything from ensuring the availability of medications and materials to leading needs analyses and specifying requirements for procurement of new medical equipment. You ensure that safety regulations and laws are followed, and that facilities and equipment are used in a way that prevents illness and accidents, so that your section is always a safe place for both staff and patients. This is a full-time, permanent position in your core profession with a 1-3 year assignment as CT Section Manager. Your work hours are initially daytime, but shift work (day, evening, and weekend) in radiology may be necessary. Qualifications Requirements: Licensed radiologic technologist Many years of experience working with CT and conventional radiography Meritorious: Experience in hospital care Experience in work leadership and/or other management assignments Personal Qualities: We expect you to be curious, see opportunities, collaborate easily, and build good relationships.
