General Laborer

Description:

An employee in this position performs the following functions: - performs earth digging and leveling, compost preparation work, and other farm work that does not require special training; - carries or transports goods and bulk materials in wheelbarrows, loads and unloads cargo; - maintains green spaces, farmyards, sidewalks, and road surfaces; - ensures that trash bins in the maintained territory are tidy and cleaned, advertising boards, signs and benches are washed; - rakes and sweeps fallen leaves, clears snow and ice, spreads sand on sidewalks; - after receiving additional instructions, assists other employees of the Maintenance Department; - performs other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
