Learn more at the website: Elicron Responsibilities As a quotation engineer, you are responsible for ensuring a smooth flow from quotation and customer orders to handoff to production. You work early in the sales process and gather, structure, and quality-assure information from multiple internal functions to create accurate and feasible cost estimates and production setups. The role involves extensive internal networks and close collaboration with sales, engineering, production, production management, and procurement. You work with both new projects and recurring quotations, often in deals with longer lead times where the product is developed together with the customer over time. The focus is on creating the right conditions from the start – technically, capacity-wise, and commercially. You also contribute to improvement efforts through post-costing, follow-up, and development of working methods, and are responsible for master data in the business system. Operations are characterized by customized solutions, long-term deals, and close collaboration between sales, engineering, production, and procurement. The quotation function, engineering, and procurement sit close to each other physically, which creates short decision paths and close daily collaboration. You will become part of a team with high technical understanding where the role is seen as business-critical – the information developed in the quotation phase sets the framework for how products are manufactured. Examples of Responsibilities: Prepare quotations and production plans by calculating materials, time, machinery, and production setups Ensure that the right information flows from quotation stage to handoff to production Provide input to sales and customer teams regarding capacity, constraints, and commercial implications Find solutions to optimize order profitability in collaboration with production planning, procurement, and logistics Perform post-costing, manage changes, and drive improvements in dialog with internal stakeholders Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities University degree with relevant focus Experience from manufacturing industry and production Experience with production planning, cost estimation, or similar technical roles Good understanding of the entire order flow, from quotation to delivery Experience working in business systems (preferably Monitor) and understanding master data (e.g., articles, EOQ) Background as an engineer, production manager, or production director is a merit Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written To succeed in the role, you need to be organized and comfortable working with many parallel contact points. You drive your work independently, ask the right questions, and ensure you gather the information needed to make good decisions. You collaborate easily with different functions and adapt your communication based on who you're talking to. At the same time, you are analytical, thorough, and have a clear business focus – you follow up, learn from outcomes, and actively contribute to improvements over time.
