As a mechanical design engineer, you will have a central position in our development projects. You work with both new product development and further development of existing products, and you are involved throughout the design chain - from early concept studies and feasibility studies to finished and quality-assured production documentation. You work closely with other designers, project managers, and adjacent functions such as production, procurement, and quality, which gives you a good overall understanding of the product and its applications. As a mechanical design engineer with us, you will, among other things: Develop assembly and detail designs within our product segment, primarily in CAD and PLM environments Work with product improvements and implement changes and updates to existing designs Actively contribute to method, product, and process development by developing work procedures, creating instructions and checklists, and evaluating new technical solutions within design and manufacturing Support the sales and feasibility study organization with technical analyses and early assessments based on customer and requirement specifications Participate in the preparation of test documents, work instructions, and inspection documents to ensure high quality and reliability in the finished product Your Profile We are looking for someone with several years of experience in mechanical design and who is comfortable working with established design processes and tools. You have a good ability to understand customer needs and translate requirements into technically sound and cost-effective solutions. As a person, you are analytical, thorough, and organized, with your own drive and a desire to develop. You take responsibility for your tasks, can work independently, and also enjoy collaborating in project form. You communicate clearly and have the ability to handle periods of high pace and tight deadlines. Experience from project-driven operations is a merit. We are looking for you who have: Technical education from upper secondary school, college, or university, or alternatively equivalent relevant work experience. Several years of experience in mechanical design. Experience with Inventor and/or AutoCAD. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with product database management/PDM systems. Merits Experience in project management or technical sub-project management. Experience in systems development. Previous work in the defense or aviation industry. Knowledge of electrical engineering, telecommunications, or electronics. The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable security clearance regulations at any given time.
