Within brass we offer instruction in trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn, and baritone. We have orchestras and ensembles at different levels and we often perform together with other instruments as well. Job Responsibilities As a woodwind instrument teacher, you will teach saxophone and clarinet, either individually or in groups. Teaching time varies but is at least 20 minutes. In your teaching, you will help awaken students' desire and joy for music, provide tools to develop ear training, sight-reading, improvisation, and musical expression. The position also includes instruction in orchestra playing where students practice ensemble skills and playing together with others. Teaching in wind classes at several schools throughout the municipality is also included. Every year concerts and other outreach activities are organized to showcase Kulturskolan's activities, and you will be involved in these. You will be part of a team with Kulturskolan's other woodwind and brass teachers, and you will also collaborate with other teams. This position is filled pending required decisions. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from a Music University or equivalent with a focus on saxophone and clarinet. It is meritorious if you have previous experience from kulturskola or other educational activities. As a person, you have good collaboration skills with both colleagues and students, and you have a flexible approach. We also want you to have a holistic perspective that includes Kulturskolan's cultural role in the municipality and in collaboration with other cultural institutions. It is important that you are self-directed, creative, take your own initiative, and have a positive attitude toward your work.
