With a deliberate language-development approach, you inspire students' curiosity and desire to learn. About the Position As a Swedish teacher, you are responsible for instruction in grades 7–9. Your role involves planning and delivering instruction grounded in research, where you place spoken and written language at the center. To reach all students, we place great emphasis on varied instruction. You understand the value of alternating literature reading and writing with oral presentations, digital tools, and interactive language exercises. In the classroom, you are a strong and very confident leader who creates a pressure-free atmosphere where students dare to speak, write, and develop. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and active participation in the school's quality improvement work. Mentoring is also part of the role. We believe in meeting each student where they are linguistically and giving them the tools they need to express themselves, analyze their surroundings, and succeed in all school subjects. We are looking for someone who: Is a certified teacher of Swedish and another subject for grades 7–9. Has confident and clear classroom management that creates academic focus, safety, and an inclusive environment. Is passionate about language-development approaches and has the ability to make language learning lively, relevant, and engaging for students. Sees the value in varied instruction and can adapt your methods to suit different learning styles and age groups. Has a professional approach to assessment, where you integrate formative methods to make students' progress toward learning standards visible. Is responsible and solution-oriented.
