Skogsängsskolan is a newly built K-6 school with excellent facilities and a fantastic schoolyard. We have grown in recent years and currently have approximately 460 students in a 3-parallel organization. With us, we work together with a focus on collegial learning. We work preventively to create safety and good conditions for student learning in our multicultural school unit. We work with differentiated and language-developing approaches for higher achievement of goals. The school has a comprehensive student welfare team with a counselor, school nurse, social pedagogue, special teacher and special educator, school psychologist and school doctor from the central student welfare office. To create safety and study peace, we place great emphasis on norms, values, and good relationships. An important part of this work is our organized and well-functioning recess activities. DUTIES With us, you teach home and consumer studies to our three classes in grade 6. Teaching is conducted on two full days per week and covers approximately 30 percent including planning time, classroom management, and purchasing. The remaining 10 percent consists of other tasks based on the needs of the activities and your competence. Together with your colleagues, you create a safe and developing learning environment where students have the opportunity to develop. There may be an opportunity to increase your hours by substituting other days of the week as needed. Mentorship in a middle school class may be included. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a teacher's degree and teacher certification with authorization to teach home and consumer studies. You can also be near the end of your education and be ready to graduate soon. It is meritorious if you have experience teaching in school and are familiar with working according to current curriculum. You have a good ability to create relationships and can adapt your leadership based on the situation and student group.
