Högbyskolan is located in Hemse and is part of the Sudret school district, which covers Southern Gotland. It is a grades F-9 school with approximately 350 students and is one of five schools in the Sudret school district. The other schools are Garda, Stånga, Havdhem, and Öja school, which are grades F-6 schools. Your Responsibilities The position involves planning and leading the work in the afterschool program at Högbyskolan. As an afterschool teacher, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues in the work team, for planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical work in accordance with Lgr22 and other governing documents. You are also responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians to create a safe and developmental environment for the students. The role also includes supporting students in the classroom during the day before the afterschool program begins. Through close collaboration, you contribute to a coherent and meaningful school day for the students. You will help create activities that stimulate students' learning, development, and social skills. Together in the work team, you are responsible for developing the afterschool program's pedagogical content and creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to participate and develop. The position includes: • Planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in the afterschool program together with colleagues. • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to create continuity and coherence in students' daily experience. • Actively contributing to the work team's development and shared responsibility. • Working closely with students and supporting their social development in various contexts. • Collaborating with the student support team in working with students in need of support. Who Are You? A degree in Afterschool Teaching or Recreation Pedagogy is required for permanent employment. You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational learning environment where students are engaged and involved. To succeed in this position, you need excellent collaboration skills and be relationship-oriented, as good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are crucial.
