We are now a Super Municipality! Östad School is seeking a teacher for an upcoming Grade 2 class, a substitute position for the 2026-2027 school year. We have one class at each grade level, and next fall approximately 125 students will attend the school. We are located on the outskirts of the beautiful Sjövik area, next to Östad Church, the forest, and the meadows. You can easily get here by bus, car, or why not by bicycle. We have around 20 people working at the school. We work systematically with our quality improvement efforts and always keep the student in focus. We connect current research to our development areas, which from the fall will be directed toward pedagogical leadership and instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics. For us, it is important that students get to use all their experiences and languages to develop their identity, new abilities, and knowledge. DUTIES You will work as a substitute class teacher in Grade 2. It is a class with 19 students. You will be part of the teaching team for Grades F-3. Your assignment is to plan, implement, and assess students' knowledge and development, but also to work so that students feel good, believe in themselves, and develop as a group. You will have great freedom to use your skills and ideas to find approaches, methods, and pedagogical tools to develop instruction and create favorable adjustments and special support. To assist you, you will have your teaching team, the entire staff, and the school's support team. QUALIFICATIONS You need to have broad certification and be a licensed teacher for instruction in younger ages. Employment type: Fixed-term position.
