Björksätraskolan is a multicultural grades F-9 school in the Björksätra district of Sandviken. You can easily reach us by public transportation. We have proximity to forest and nature that we have the opportunity to use in our teaching. Near the school there is also access to several sports facilities that are used frequently. The school leadership consists of a principal and two assistant principals for grades F-6, and we have approximately 300 students in grades F-6. We are proud to have an inspiring collegial environment with, among other things, several senior teachers within various subject areas. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher in grades 4-6 with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to the school's governing documents. The position also includes mentoring. The assignment involves creating an accessible learning environment where students' curiosity and desire to learn are valued. You contribute by: • Stimulating students' development and learning based on their individual needs • Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues • Being a clear and trustworthy role model for students • Working actively for an inclusive and safe school environment • Collaborating in the work team to develop teaching We make each other better by: • Sharing knowledge and experiences in collegial forums • Strengthening each other in daily work • Having an open and solution-focused approach • Working with the student at the center QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in this role, you need good pedagogical insight and an understanding of how students acquire knowledge in different ways. You have an easy way of creating trustful relationships and contribute to a safe and accessible learning environment. Responsiveness and collaboration skills are important qualities in collegial work, where teaching is developed together. A structured work approach facilitates planning and follow-up, while flexibility allows you to handle changing needs and see opportunities in new situations. An inclusive approach permeates your work and creates good conditions for all students. The position requires: • Teacher certification with eligibility to teach grades 4-6. • Good knowledge of primary school's governing documents • Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written Good IT competence and experience using digital tools are advantageous.
