Contact Person, Summer Temporary Position About Us Skyddsvärnet – established in 1910 – is a mission-driven organization working to prevent social exclusion through professional interventions that provide support for self-sufficiency. Sörgården residential care facility is part of Skyddsvärnet and offers secure, supportive housing for adults who want to live drug-free and build independent lives. We are located in a nature-rich environment by the coast in Sörmjöle – just 20 minutes from Umeå. With us, professional support is combined with genuine community. We work with adult clients dealing with substance abuse issues, mental health challenges, comorbidities, criminal backgrounds, or other socially destructive behaviors. Placements are made on behalf of the social services. Your Responsibilities As a contact person with us, you will work closely with residents in their daily lives. You provide support and encouragement toward reducing substance abuse and assist with contacts between residents and authorities and voluntary organizations. You actively participate in shared activities such as cooking and cleaning, and you contribute to an environment where residents feel seen, secure, and empowered to move forward. The work includes client conversations, contact with healthcare providers and authorities, urine screening, documentation, and planning of activities and occupational engagement. We work based on KASAM as our methodological foundation and place great emphasis on humanity in all interactions. Requirements · You will drive Sörgården's vehicle as needed, therefore a manual B-driver's license is required. Merits We are looking for someone with relevant education in the field, such as treatment assistant, treatment pedagogue, social worker, or with other behavioral science background. Further training in MI (motivational interviewing) Experience working with this target group in institutional care, outpatient services, or outreach activities Who Are You?
