Ref: 20261540 Job Responsibilities We are now looking for a substitute teacher at Höjaskolan to join our team in grades 7-9. Here you will have the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues in an open and supportive environment where collegial exchange and learning are essential. As a teacher with us, you will be responsible for planning and teaching Social Studies subjects as well as Spanish, and for assessing your students' acquired knowledge. You will teach students in grades 6-9. Planning your instruction can take place both individually and collaboratively with your colleagues. Your teaching is modern and creative, aimed at reaching and finding strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development. The role also includes mentoring students entering grade 7. You will also participate in ongoing development work. Development work where you, together with other school staff, actively work to maintain and sustain a good learning and working environment for students and staff at our school. Right now we are focusing on a collaborative inquiry process where you and your closest colleagues have significant influence over your development work. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with credentials to teach grades 7-9 Social Studies and Spanish in grades 6-9. It is a merit if you have experience working as a teacher in middle school. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good familiarity and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. As a person, you have strong collaborative skills and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at school. Furthermore, you have an open and unpretentious approach to your work, you are direct and clear in your communication, are not afraid to ask for help, and keep students' needs in focus.
