Our vision is: Meaningful and joyful learning for all. Job Description We are now seeking a primary school teacher for the after-school program in the upcoming grade 2. The grade has two classes and the current team includes two classroom teachers, a teaching assistant, and an after-school pedagogue. We are now looking for an additional colleague who is a qualified primary school teacher for after-school programs and who will join the team. As a primary school teacher for the after-school program, you have overall pedagogical responsibility including planning, implementation, and follow-up. You have high expectations and believe that all students can succeed based on their abilities. You build good relationships with both students and guardians, based on trust and respect. You are aware of your own impact on students' learning. Based on student results, research, and proven experience, you follow up on the quality of teaching, reflect, and evaluate with the aim of developing instruction. You provide forward-looking feedback to students with the goal of development and support students in need of special support. We work with collegial learning, which means you collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself, your teaching, and the school's pedagogical work. As a primary school teacher for the after-school program at Vistaskolan, you are part of a team. Some important prioritized areas include developing work around students' learning environment, collaboration, and development of recess activities. You will work together with other colleagues in a grade level, where you collectively lead instruction based on the curriculum and the school's operational plan. In preschool through grade 3 at Vistaskolan, we have a full-day perspective and weave together instruction in the preschool class with instruction in the after-school program. You will participate in the entire day's instruction. Your Profile We are looking for someone who has a degree as a primary school teacher for after-school programs or as an after-school pedagogue and has certification for teaching in after-school programs. The person we seek should also have documented experience working as a primary school teacher for after-school programs. You have experience planning, implementing, and evaluating work based on the curriculum and other governing documents. You are a driven person who has the ability to take own initiative and carry through a complete process together with the team. You have good collaboration skills and find it easy to get other staff members on board with work toward shared goals. You enjoy sharing your experiences and knowledge and at the same time are open to new methods. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills, find it easy to build good relationships and cooperate with students, guardians, the team, the school's student support team, and school leadership. You should be calm, secure, and stable with the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. In your pedagogical leadership, you have the ability to create a work environment characterized by security, trust, and respect. With good didactic ability, strong subject knowledge, clear structure, and varied instruction adapted to the individual student, you create the best conditions for our students.
