Nacka Senior Center is seeking dedicated nursing assistants to ensure safe and person-centered care for our residents. Your Assignment Nacka Senior Center consists of four residential facilities located in Finntorp, Ektorp, Saltsjöbaden, and Saltsjö-Boo. Each facility has both somatic and dementia-focused units, social activities, day programs, and fully equipped kitchens where meals are prepared from scratch. As a summer substitute nursing assistant at Nacka Senior Center, you will contribute to creating a safe, dignified, and meaningful daily life for our residents. You will work closely with residents, family members, and colleagues, planning care based on individual needs and preferences. The focus is on person-centered care, where self-determination, participation, and quality of life are central. Your responsibilities include care and nursing assistance, simple medical interventions, supervision, alarm response, and documentation. You will also participate in activities, care meals, and contact person coordination. Work hours include day, evening, and weekend shifts between 07:00–21:00. We would appreciate if you could start immediately and work according to a fixed schedule for at least 6 weeks during the period from mid-June through the end of September. Requirements for the Position You must have: - Nursing assistant certification or complete grades as a nursing assistant - Several years of experience working in elderly care - Experience and knowledge of low-arousal approaches - Previous delegation experience with feeding tubes, insulin, and medications - Ability to perform independent nursing assessments - Knowledge of dementia conditions and appropriate approaches - Documentation experience - Very good Swedish, both spoken and written - Must be at least 18 years old Desirable: Knowledge of taking vital signs and specimen collection, such as blood tests. What We Offer Nacka Senior Center is a meeting place for seniors and the municipal alternative for elderly care in Nacka Municipality. Our four senior centers are located in Ektorp, Finntorp, Saltsjöbaden, and Saltsjö-Boo. All facilities offer social activities, care and nursing services, and have fully equipped kitchens where cooks and kitchen assistants prepare meals from scratch. As a substitute, you will be employed by Stab kompetensförsörjning within Nacka Municipality, which is responsible for coordinating and ensuring quality staffing of care personnel for short-term absences and monthly substitutes. As a summer substitute, you will work at one or more of our facilities depending on how much you want to work during the summer. We offer you the opportunity to work as a temporary substitute both before and after your summer assignment.
