Experienced Nurse/District Nurse for Growing Primary Care Center
Description:
Botvids Primary Care Center is a small, privately-owned primary care facility with a care agreement with Region Stockholm. The center is located in Hallunda centrum and opened in May 2023 by a group of specialist physicians and psychologists with many years of experience working in Hallunda. We know the area and its population well and place great emphasis on good treatment, continuity, and accessibility. Our staff speaks, in addition to Swedish, several different languages, such as Arabic, Turkish, Syriac, Cantonese, Mandarin, Polish, Finnish, Sorani, Serbian, Thai, Pashto, Dari, Urdu, and English. The operation is appreciated by patients, which is reflected in excellent results in the National Patient Survey. We are growing rapidly in the number of registered patients and now have approximately 5,500 registered patients. About the Position: As a nurse/district nurse with us, you will be part of a small team with several professional groups working closely together to provide our patients with the best possible assessments and care. You will primarily work at our clinic but also in home care when needed. The role includes typical duties at a primary care center, where you have considerable opportunity to influence processes and procedures. A significant part of the work as a nurse/district nurse is triage and patient advice over the phone, through 1177, and during physical visits. In the care of acutely ill patients, nurses and physicians work as a team, where the nurse performs an initial assessment and consults with an on-call physician when needed. The primary care center has a well-functioning psychosocial team with good accessibility for assessment and treatment of our patients. We have an open work environment and conduct patient rounds between professional groups daily to increase our ability to use our resources optimally. You will be part of a team consisting of nurses, district nurses, specialist physicians in general medicine, residents/trainees, nurses' aides, psychologists, psychotherapists, administrators, and medical secretaries. The primary care center is open on weekdays, holidays excluded, from 7:00-17:00, which means you will have varying work hours where you will sometimes start at 7:00 and sometimes finish at 17:00. If desired, there may be an opportunity for part-time work. We value our employees highly and there are good opportunities for development in your professional role. Minimum Requirements to Apply: Completed education as a nurse and Swedish nursing license. Since we are a small clinic, the role requires that you can work independently and are confident in making your own medical assessments. Previous experience from primary care is a merit. Be registered as residing in Sweden and have good knowledge of Swedish both in writing and speech, and be able to communicate in English. Ability to collaborate with other professional groups at a primary care center and good social skills. If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact us at [email protected].
