Gotland has ten special housing facilities and one short-term care unit managed internally, distributed across six locations. We work here with the mission to help seniors around the clock with various services. Fältgatan 75 is a dementia care facility in three floors with 8 places on each floor. The facility is located in Visby and shares a wall with Fältgatan 77. There is significant collaboration and cooperation between these two units regarding staffing, scheduling, joint coordination, and shared meetings. The unit managers have offices in close proximity to each other, which further enables close collaboration and collegial learning. Operations shall be characterized by efficiency and high quality, and the organization shall be flexible and collaboration-oriented while providing a good work environment for staff, consisting of nursing assistants, care assistants, administrative assistants, and licensed personnel. Your Responsibilities As unit manager at Fältgatan 75, you have overall responsibility for leading, driving, and developing the unit's daily and operational work, as well as monitoring business goal achievement, productivity, and quality. You provide close and trust-based leadership and workplace responsibility for 30 employees, which includes workplace meetings, employee discussions, salary reviews, and individual professional development plans. You are also responsible for recruiting and staffing new employees and planning their onboarding. You will have administrative support to assist you. The position involves budget responsibility, including financial planning and monitoring, as well as responsibility for the unit's internal processes (procedures, monitoring, supporting methodological development, etc.). You will also have close collaboration with other unit managers within elderly care, with particular close collaboration with your fellow unit manager colleagues within the Visby team. You report to the department manager, who together with a fellow department manager leads the elderly care management group, in which you participate. In the elderly care management group, you are expected to contribute to the department's development in care and support as well as the implementation of digital solutions. As elderly care faces major recruitment and staffing challenges, you and your fellow managers have an important role in thinking strategically and contributing new ways of thinking to best meet these challenges. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with higher education in healthcare, social work, or with a focus on leadership and organization. You have knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). You have a driver's license and speak and write Swedish fluently and without difficulty. It is meritorious if you have education in leadership, labor law, and work environment, as well as if you have management experience. It is also meritorious if you have experience working in/with: Government-directed operations Elderly care, preferably with a focus on dementia Municipal health and medical services Conflict management Change management Cooperation agreements and leading collaboration We are looking for a confident and stable leader who can independently structure and organize efficient workflows.
