At Hultsbergsskolan, we work from an F–9 perspective where adapted primary school is also included. In adapted primary school, we have students in grades 1-6. Responsibilities As a student assistant in adapted primary school, you have a varied and meaningful task where you make a great difference in students' daily lives. You provide pedagogical and social support throughout the school day – in the classroom, during breaks, during transitions, and in other contexts where your presence creates safety and structure. An important part of the task is also to meet students' care needs, which may involve physically demanding activities such as heavy lifting. In the workplace, there may also be loud noises and situations that require calmness, flexibility, and professional conduct. You support one or more students in both teaching, communication, and social interaction and work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe, accessible, and stimulating learning environment based on each student's individual needs. The position also includes work in the after-school program, where you contribute to meaningful and developmental activities after the school day ends. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a student assistant or has experience that the employer considers equivalent. As a person, you find it easy to create safety and good relationships with both students and colleagues, and you are used to working independently as well as in a team. You are flexible and can quickly adapt between different tasks – for example, from providing support to an individual student with special needs to leading an activity for an entire group of students. You are attentive to students' daily condition and needs, and can adapt your approach accordingly. Your communication skills enable you to clearly explain tasks, calm stressful situations, and collaborate effectively with both colleagues and guardians. The work can sometimes be both physically and mentally demanding, and it is important that you have the ability to remain calm, create structure, and build trusting relationships. At the same time, you have the opportunity to make a real difference in students' daily lives – a task that both challenges and gives much in return.
