Do you want to be our next librarian - welcome to Campus Djursholm Stiftelsen Viktor Rydbergs skolor is seeking a librarian. The position is permanent with 80% hours, starting in August or by agreement. The role is split equally between the two schools, Viktor Rydbergs samskola Djursholm (middle school) and Viktor Rydberg gymnasium Djursholm. The schools, which make up Campus Djursholm, share one library. You will be primarily based at VRS Djursholm as the library is located in the samskola's premises. As a librarian, you work outward-facing and service-oriented as a pedagogical resource for students and staff in media and information literacy, and you are a key person in our reading promotion efforts. Job Responsibilities As a librarian at Viktor Rydbergs skolor, you work in close collaboration with the foundation's other librarians and you work closely with both students and teachers and school management. You develop and strengthen students' and staff's media and information literacy. You strive to give our students a living relationship with literature and work pedagogically to support and inspire their language development. With us, it is natural that you participate in teaching as well as projects, and you are comfortable working both digitally and in-person in classrooms and libraries, giving presentations to larger groups as well as providing individual guidance. You collaborate with teacher colleagues and create engagement and understanding for library matters. The position includes planning of operations and administration of library systems, various databases, platforms and media, as well as development of the book collection. Requirements You have relevant higher education in library and information science. You have strong knowledge of Swedish and English. Profile As a colleague, you are creative, responsive and communicative. You have the ability to structure your own work and take initiative. Staying updated within the profession is self-evident to you and you thrive in an organization in constant development. You are well-oriented in IT and digital solutions. Meritorious It is meritorious if you have experience with Welib or other library systems as well as experience working in school libraries.
