Your Responsibilities As a subject teacher in mathematics and science at Friskolan Asken, you will be part of a subject team with other mathematics teachers who collaborate closely and humbly to create the best possible conditions for every student. Together with your subject colleagues, you will plan, implement, and develop the subjects to create teaching and assessment that is as equitable as possible. Mentorship is part of the position, where you and a colleague are responsible for a class and follow their development both academically and socially. This is a full-time substitute position with a 6-month probationary period. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is a certified subject teacher with credentials to teach mathematics and preferably several science subjects in grades 7–9. Maybe you are newly graduated, or perhaps you have worked as a teacher for a few years. The main thing is that you are passionate about helping your students and teaching your subjects. To succeed in the role, you are a secure and relationship-building teacher who builds trust with students, parents, and colleagues. You enjoy working with others and want to be part of developing teaching together with your team. At the same time, you are solution-oriented, organized, and motivated by working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference for each student. You are confident in your teaching role and have an organized approach. You believe in every student's ability to succeed and actively work to develop both their knowledge and their confidence in their own abilities.
