You have an important role in leading our Profile/Activities Council where all activities representatives from the departments participate. There we plan joint celebrations, musical arrangements, and activities. You also support your colleagues in conducting smaller activities in the departments. You collaborate with all staff members in the operations to best offer residents a meaningful day. You have extensive knowledge of the operations' agreements and are responsible, together with management, for planning and delivering what we promise in our concept and agreements. Your direct manager is the unit manager. You are also part of a network with activities coordinators in the region/country and stay updated on the wider world. An important part is managing our social media; for example, Facebook and Instagram, and keeping them updated with current information and photos. As an Activities Coordinator, you build contacts and develop good collaborations with local organizations, schools, municipalities, volunteers, media, etc. You get to have a say by taking initiative for activities in the operations. This could mean, for example, leading exciting projects to benefit residents and seeking grants/scholarships for this. About Polhemsgården Polhemsgården in Solna consists of 80 apartments with a dementia focus and the day center Lyktan. Polhemsgården has nature and garden as its profile. Outdoor time and activities in nature, parks, and gardens are natural parts of our daily life. We work with different nature themes throughout the year. Dementia Certification We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia care and person-centered approaches through Silviahemmet Young Care We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg. This means a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg conducts various activities together with us to enhance the lives of our residents.
