Sameskolstyrelsen is a state authority with its main office including school director, controllers, HR, and administrators in Jåhkåmåhkke. Sameskolan is an educational form equivalent to primary school with instruction from preschool class through grade 6. The foundation of instruction is Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for Sameskolan. Sameskolstyrelsen operates preschools by agreement with respective municipalities. Sameskolstyrelsen has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna. Sameskolstyrelsen provides distance instruction in the Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, implement, and evaluate instruction in accordance with preschool guidelines and from a Sámi perspective, both individually and as part of a team. You actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the preschool. Together with staff, participate in other work at the preschool. QUALIFICATIONS Teacher degree with valid teacher certification, or other education deemed appropriate by the employer. You have fluent North Sámi skills, both oral and written. You have a positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships as well as the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts. You are conscientious, flexible, and responsive to students' needs and enjoy working with children and young people. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are seeking someone with documented strong collaboration skills. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer.
